NC TLC Trust latest news and thank you’s

This month we would like to let you know about where some of the money raised this year has gone, we have taken on a few new families over the past few months, some are newly diagnosed and others have been on the cancer journey for many years.

One of our families was recently told ‘your child is terminal’, news that no parent should ever have to hear! The family put in a grant to see if they could have some family time with their son to make some lasting memories, we were able to support the family with £1475 to send them for some quality time, they spent their time in Paris, Rome and Nice, with the young man going on a helicopter ride, taking an air taxi to Nice after a fun day out. A visit was made to Casino Monte-Carlo from Casino Royal in Monaco and lots more amazing days were had.

We have also been able to take our families on a great fun filled camping weekend at Emberton Park in Milton Keynes, they enjoyed bug hunting, a fish and chip supper, BBQ and lots of fun and laughter was had by all, including colouring in t-shirt stencils for the BMW Half Marathon. Also this year we are finalising details to get our warriors to Disneyland Paris, with funds already raised and more coming in.

BMW took part in the Northampton Half Marathon last month and provided the i8 pace car for the event, inviting our charity families to an afternoon of fun, including a lovely BBQ and inflatable slide for the little ones, it wasgreat getting our families together and enabling them to meet our supporters BMW who are helping raise money for Disneyland Paris.

We have also managed to put deposits down for next year’s charity ball, Hardwick park camping weekend, Hollowell Heavy Horse and Steam Rally and more.

We are now looking for riders for next year’s Prudential Ride London to Surrey 100 and 2 runners for the London Half Marathon.

The Yule Ball is this month and if anyone can help with raffle prizes or auction lots then please get in touch with us here at the office.

We are also putting out our Toy Appeal for Christmas presents for our warriors aged between 0-17, if you can donate in any way then please contact us. We also need wrapping paper for Christmas.

We would like to thank Maria, Rebecca, Rachel and Kelly for competing in the Colour Rush back in June raising an amazing amount of £586.25 for NC TLC Trust.

Thank you to Euro Scaffolding who raised an additional £1000 for the Event held in loving memory of Teresa Hogan. Thank you also to Jodine, Gracie and Poppy for making and selling cakes at Nationwide raising £ which was matched by Nationwide Head Office.

Next year we have already scheduled in a Race night for 27th February 2018, this is being held at the Earls Barton Working Mens Club, a new event which is helping to raise money next year is The Muddy Furlong festival which will take place over the weekend of 27th-29th July 2018, with lots of cover bands and DJ Ted Nilsson, this will be a family event at £22 per person for the entire weekend, bring your own tents.
