Some of our charity families will be joining us at Emberton Park for a weekend full of fun, laughter and entertainment. Not forgetting our Allotment days, which are kindly run by Alistair McCarter our Allotment Manager and new Trustee.

Maria Sparks, together with her daughter Rebecca will be taking on the Colour Obstacle Rush 5km, enduring 20 obstacles, 8 colour stations and 20 music zones, we wish you both all the best in this colourful, fun event. If you would like to sponsor Maria and Rebecca or any of the 4 guys taking part in the London – Surrey then please go to Golden Giving and find them through NC TLC Trust.

We would like to thank Daikin for donating a cheque for £200 to the charity. Dave Rainbow donated another £50 for the Results Rush. Thank you to Brian & Janet Naseby and all involved from Interchurch who earlier this year put on their annual pantomime and brought us in a cheque for £250.

Liam Warren from Firm but Intelligent hosted another boxing event at the Barratts Snooker Club last month, the evening was great with some inspiring people taking to the ring, including an uncle of a child recently diagnosed with Cancer, now receiving help from the charity. The whole evening was great fun, with a couple of games thrown into the mix and a speech from Janet Walker-Smith, the charities Founder. Thank you to all those involved with the planning, hosting, boxing, the evening itself and those who spent money towards the evening, we are delighted to say the night raised a grand total of £720.

Thank you to Geraldine, Darryl, Laura, Paul, Charlene and families for their amazing donation of £4000 from Birchy’s Royal Charity Cup, this is their annual Golf Day held in memory of their late some Marc Birch, who lost his life fighting for our country. This year they had a total of 53 teams of 4 golfers playing in their 9th Annual event. Their request is that this money goes to the maintenance and fees for the charity caravan, we will ensure that the money goes forward as requested.

As many of you will remember we held our Annual Charity Ball in October last year (Viva Las Vegas), when we informed everyone that the money raised would be donated to the Northampton General Hospital Disney Ward. Since the ball, we have been in touch with the ward to ask them to look at ways in which we can use the funds to help benefit the children undergoing cancer treatment, as they have several rooms where often treatment means numerous nights with a parent. With this is mind we all appreciate how sleep is very important for the parent as well as the child, so we hope to provide part of the money for 4 chairs that convert to beds, to help parents with care for their child. The total amount raised £3,945.49 has now been paid to the Hospital Charitable Fund to coordinate this directly with the ward, any money left will be used to help benefit the children further. The hospital will soon be in touch, so we can invite many children from the charity to participate in a large cheque presentation, and help in giving something back to those going through treatment both now and in the future.

Our new website now offers self-help forms for our families and supporters, these can be completed and sent back to us via email or post.

Please remember to purchase your tickets for this year’s ball, October 21st at the Marriott Hotel, Eagle Drive, Northampton. See website for more details.
